Butterfly, fly

Mixed media 24”x30” on Stretched Canvas
I used a plastic card and palette knife to apply the paint, lots of layers. I mixed the colours right on the canvas.I added some molding paste into the paint, in some parts, for texture. And bits of papers, ribbons, burlap, gold leaf and textured vintage wallpaper. I wrote out my thoughts right on the canvas in the early layers as well. The outcome feels bright and cheerful. I have tried hanging this piece in different rooms and it instantly creates a happy vibe.
